Jiu-Jitsu Federation: Despite the long-standing feud that Dustin Poirier has shared with Conor McGregor over the years, Poirier felt the need to defend McGregor after the Irishman suffered a devastating knee injury at UFC 329. According to Poirier, he does not believe McGregor's injury was intentional and is dismissing any conspiracy theory suggesting otherwise.

"I don't think he's a quitter," Poirier said about McGregor. "But he is a jerk and karma caught up with him." Despite his justified criticism of McGregor, Poirier felt the need to set the record straight about internet speculation that suggested the injury was intentional. While most fans are operating under the assumption that McGregor's kick was a legitimate offensive move, some on the internet suggested there was more happening below the surface and that the injury could have been a way to escape a hopeless situation.

"There's a lot of internet stuff with conspiracy theories. Just because you get an injury doesn't mean you're faking it," Poirier continued. "Yeah, and he's a jerk, but he's not a quitter and I don't think he did any of this on purpose."
