Terms and Conditions

The rules for using this platform. By creating an account or browsing here, you agree to them.

Last updated: 11/08/2026

1. Agreement to terms

These terms form an agreement between you and BJJLF regarding the use of this platform. By accessing the site, creating an account or submitting any information, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to what is set out here. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Intellectual property

The site, the brand, the texts, the artwork, the belt designs, the certificate templates and the software are owned by the association or used under licence, and are protected by law. You may use them to browse the platform and manage your own profile; you may not copy, resell or commercially exploit them without written permission.

3. User representations

By using the platform you represent that the information you provide is true and current, that you have legal capacity to accept these terms, that you are not a minor without guardian consent, and that you will not use the site for illegal or unauthorised purposes.

You further represent that the rank, titles and documents you submit are genuine. A false rank declaration is grounds for immediate cancellation of the account and revocation of any certificate issued on that basis.

4. Registration

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything that happens in your account. We reserve the right to remove or change a username we consider inappropriate. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

5. Profiles built from public sources

Some profiles on this platform were built from official rankings published by federations, always with the source declared. Such profiles do not imply affiliation, endorsement or any relationship between the athlete and the association. If a profile is yours, you can claim it and take over managing it, or request its removal through our channels.

6. Prohibited activities

You may not use the platform to: scrape data automatically without permission; circumvent security measures; impersonate another person or academy; post illegal or offensive content or content that infringes third-party rights; interfere with how the site works; use the service to compete with the association; or sell access to your account.

7. Content you publish

The platform lets you publish text, photos, videos, comments and subscription content. You remain the owner of what you publish and are solely responsible for it — including holding the rights to any image or music you use.

By publishing, you grant the association a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce and distribute that content within the platform and in promoting it. The licence ends when the content is removed, except for technical backup copies.

8. Certification and rank

Issuing a certificate depends on review and approval, and requires proof of the declared rank. The association may refuse, suspend or revoke certification where documentation is insufficient, inconsistent or false. The certificate attests recognition by the association; it does not replace federation registration nor create an employment relationship.

9. Subscriptions, billing and refunds

Paid features are charged according to the plan you choose, in the currency shown at purchase, and renew automatically where recurring until you cancel. Cancellation applies to the next cycle and keeps your access until the end of the period already paid for. Document issuance and event registration follow the policy stated on the relevant page, including that event’s cancellation terms.

10. Academies and the management area

An academy using the management area is responsible for its own students’ data and must handle it under applicable law. The association provides the tool; the relationship between academy and student — enrolment, tuition and attendance — is between them. The official licence follows the affiliation and may be suspended if the conditions stop being met.

11. Affiliate programme

Participants receive their own link, and commissions follow the rates in force at the time of the referral. Fraudulent referrals, self-referral and misleading acquisition void the commission and may end participation.

12. Reviews and comments

Reviews must reflect genuine experience and may not contain offensive or discriminatory language or knowingly false information. We may accept, refuse or remove reviews at our discretion, and we are not responsible for their content.

13. Submissions

Questions, comments and suggestions you send us about the platform may be used freely by the association, without acknowledgement or compensation.

14. Third-party sites and content

The platform displays third-party links and content — jiu-jitsu news outlets, social network videos and federation rankings — always with the source credited. We are not responsible for the accuracy of that content nor for the practices of the destination sites.

15. Site management

We may monitor usage, refuse or restrict access, remove content that breaches these terms and take technical measures to protect the platform and its users.

16. Privacy

The handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

17. Copyright

If you believe content published here infringes your copyright, tell us through our contact channels, identifying the content, your proof of ownership and how to reach you. Content flagged as infringing may be removed while the matter is reviewed.

18. Term and termination

These terms apply for as long as you use the platform. We may end or suspend access, without notice, in case of a breach. You may close your account whenever you wish through our contact channels.

19. Modifications and interruptions

We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of the platform at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability: maintenance, technical failure or an external cause may interrupt the service, without this creating a right to compensation.

20. Corrections

There may be typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions in the site’s information, including price and availability. We reserve the right to correct and update information at any time, without prior notice.

21. Disclaimer

The platform is provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranty as to the accuracy of data collected from public sources, continuous availability or fitness for a particular purpose.

22. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the association is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or data loss arising from use of the platform. Where liability exists, it is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months preceding the event.

23. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold the association harmless from third-party claims arising from the content you publish, your use of the platform or your breach of these terms.

24. Electronic communications

By using the platform you agree to receive communications electronically and accept that approvals, notices and authorisations given here carry the same validity as a signed document.

25. Governing law and disputes

We will seek to resolve any disagreement first through direct negotiation, using the contact channels on this page. If it persists, the dispute will be resolved under the law applicable at the association’s seat, in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

26. Miscellaneous

If any clause is held invalid, the remainder stays in force. Tolerating a breach does not waive the right to require compliance later. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy, form the entire agreement between the parties.

27. Contact
