FloGrappling and ONE Championship Announce Groundbreaking Partnership

Jiu-Jitsu Federation: FloGrappling has just announced a huge new partnership with ONE Championship, bringing together two of the biggest brands in the martial arts world for the first time. It's a huge moment that could have a lasting impact on the sport, as both have some of the best grappling fighters in the world on their respective rosters and both have significant reach as well. As an added bonus, FloGrappling is also home to most of the other major grappling promotions and with them included, there are very few elite competitors they don't have access to.

With all these promotions already available to watch on FloGrappling, the platform already has a presence on almost every continent. They have a slew of events based in North America, Australasia, and the biggest South American event in BJJ Stars, but over the last year or two they have expanded significantly into Europe. They broadcast several major events from that part of the world, but the recent partnership with Polaris really helped them dominate the market there as well. Actually, the only place they don't have this kind of reach at the moment is Asia, aside from IBJJF events and ADCC Trials.

ONE Championship, on the other hand, is the largest martial arts promotion in Asia and while they create massive matchups under every ruleset imaginable, they also regularly hold elite submission-only grappling matches. There isn't much information about what this partnership will mean in practice, but the initial announcement by Tom DeBlass includes a small preview. DeBlass mentioned they'll be looking to align their major events as much as possible, which would allow the world's best grappling fighters more opportunities to compete. That would have a huge impact in a world where exclusive contracts have become increasingly common.
