Jiu-Jitsu Federation: This Saturday (25), Ultimate lands again in the capital of the United Arab Emirates to promote another ‘Fight Night’ edition. Scheduled to take place at an alternate time, earlier than usual, UFC Abu Dhabi will be broadcast live and in full from ‘Paramount+’, starting at 10 am (Brasilia time).

As usual, the ‘Brazilian Squad’ will be represented on this Saturday's UFC card. Altogether, four Tupiniquin athletes will take action in Abu Dhabi (UAE), highlighting heavyweight Valter Walker, who is looking for his fifth consecutive victory in the organization against Thomas Petersen, after winning the last four commitments with the same submission: heel spanner.

Brazil will also count on Wellington Turman's return to the octagon, after a long period of inactivity due to physical problems. Welterweight (77 kg), single athlete yellow-green on the main card of the show, will measure forces with the tough Islam Dulatov, who comes from an unbeaten streak of 12 career wins.

In the preliminary portion of the event, in addition to Valter Walker, lightweight (70 kg) Ismael Bonfim and light heavyweight (93 kg) Brendson Ribeiro will also perform on the stage set up at the ‘Etihad Arena’. Coming from two losses, ‘Muppet’ will climb the cage to try to recover from Frenchman Axel Sola. The person from Pará known by the nickname of ‘The Gorilla’ will face newcomer Magomed Tuchalov, undefeated in professional MMA with six fights fought.

Main fight

The main event of this edition of UFC Abu Dhabi will be held by light heavyweights Magomed Ankalaev and Bogdan Guskov. Without a fight since losing the belt up to 93 kg to Alex ‘Poatan’ in October last year, the former champion seeks to return to the winning column to get closer to a new title contest. Originally, Russian faced Khalil Rountree Jr, but an injury forced the American to withdraw from the card, being replaced by the Uzbek fighter.

A training partner of Brazilian Valter Walker in the Russian ‘Gor MMA’ team, Guskov lives a great phase in the organization. After debuting in the UFC with a loss to Volkan Oezdemir in 2023, the Uzbek-born fighter picked up a streak of four wins and a draw in his most recent bout against former champion Jan Blachowicz in december last year. A triumph over Ankalaev, even more so having accepted the last-minute fight, could bring Ultimate's current top 10 ranking up to 93 kg very close to a title shot in the category.

Paramount+ broadcasts UFC Abu Dhabi live, starting at 10am (Brasília time). The main card of the event is scheduled to start at 1 pm. The Ag Fight team will keep an eye on all the details and will fully cover the attraction with reports from the main matches of the show.
