UFC Abu Dhabi: Brendson Ribeiro is overtaken by undefeated rookie and turns on red flag — Jiu-Jitsu Federation, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation

Jiu-Jitsu Federation: In a valid duel for the preliminary card of UFC Abu Dhabi, held on Saturday (25), light heavyweight (93 kg) Brendson Ribeiro was surpassed by Magomed Tuchalov by unanimous decision of the judges. The confrontation opened important — and opposite — paths for the athletes in the division.

For Brendsono, the outcome consolidates a delicate moment in the event. This was the fourth consecutive defeat of the Pará native in the organization, a retrospect that leaves his stay under strong pressure and with the future potentially compromised in the UFC.

Debuting in the octagon of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, the home athlete imposed his pace of play in the decisive moments. With strategic control and taking advantage of opportunities in the octagon, Tuchalov convinced the side judges and came out victorious on the scoreboard.

As a result, the fighter preserves his invincibility in professional MMA, confirming the expectations around his style in the light heavyweight category.

Continuity in check

Despite demonstrating race throughout the fight, the Pará native was unable to nullify the rookie's attacks and now awaits the organization's definitions on the next steps in his career. However, continuity in the organization is uncertain after the long sequence of setbacks.
