Valter Walker invoices bonus of $510K after winning at UFC Abu Dhabi — Jiu-Jitsu Federation, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation

Jiu-Jitsu Federation: Saturday (25) was doubly celebrated by Valter Walker. In addition to shining at UFC Abu Dhabi by finishing Thomas Petersen with a calf wrench, the heavyweight returned home with a full pocket. For his outstanding performance, the Brazilian was awarded by the organization with the ‘Performance of the Night’ award and earned an extra $100,000 (about R$510,000).

The announcement was made by the entity itself shortly after the closing of the event. With the result, Valter reached his fifth consecutive victory in the division — all won by submission. This is the third performance bonus billed by the Rio native since his arrival at Ultimate, consolidating his status as an exciting fighter in the category.

In addition to the Brazilian, another athlete awarded for individual performance was Ramazan Temirov. The fighter secured his share of the performance bonuses by knocking out Australian Steve Erceg at the evening ‘co-main event’.

Fight of the Night

In addition to the individually awarded duo, the match between Rizvan Kuniev and Tyrell Fortune was voted the ‘Fight of the Night’ of UFC Abu Dhabi. In a busy duel that ended with the Russian's victory by knockout in the third round over the American, both competitors lined their pockets together and received the prize for the battle promoted in the octagon.
